CHEER strengthens community well‑being by equipping youth‑serving systems with evidence‑based outreach and comprehensive evaluation services that drive meaningful, measurable impact. Our work focuses on helping communities optimize resources, secure funding, strengthen mental-health prevention efforts, and improve service delivery so young people in rural areas can reliably access mental health essential care.
We partner with educators, counselors, and local leaders to understand community needs and design interventions that improve both acute and long‑term mental‑health outcomes. Through collaborative outreach, CHEER helps build capacity, align stakeholders, and equip youth‑serving systems with the tools needed to deliver sustainable, high‑quality mental health supports-ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
Supporting the Well‑Being of Youth‑Serving Professionals
CHEER recognizes that strong mental‑health systems depend on the well‑being of the adults who serve youth. Educators, counselors, and frontline staff often face burnout, chronic stress, and systemic pressures that affect their ability to provide consistent care. Our outreach efforts include targeted supports that promote resilience, reduce burnout, and strengthen overall wellness among youth‑serving professionals.
Evaluation Through a Health Equity Lens
CHEER conducts comprehensive program evaluations for state, national, and private agencies to improve health outcomes in disenfranchised and socially marginalized communities. Using a health equity lens, we assess program effectiveness, identify gaps, and provide actionable insights that help organizations:
