Outreach and Engagement
CHEER is committed to working with under-resourced youth serving organizations and school districts to address acute and chronic prevention of mental health. By helping youth organizations and school districts optimize their resources, secure funding, and improve service delivery, we aim to ensure that rural communities have continued access to essential mental health care services. By collaborating with educators, counselors, and community stakeholders, we hope to provide tailored interventions and resources to support the mental well-being of youth.
CHEER also recognizes the importance of mental health when it comes to those who serve youth in helping to deal with burnout and stressors.
We offer a variety of services to help with these endeavors. If you are interested in learning more about them, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Melissa Sulzer at msulzer@tamu.edu
